Mold: Types, Colors and How it can disrupt your health
Having mold in your home can make you and your family members prone to illness. The nature of health problems depends on the type of mold to which you are exposed. There are many types of mold commonly found in homes, schools, buildings and businesses worldwide.
Thomas J. Moore, Medical Intuitive, explains below some of the types of mold and their symptoms impacting your health. Thomas derived these findings from his direct experience with clients.
Mold is pervasive in damp environments. It grows in bathrooms, kitchens, basements and any place there is dampness. Molds release microscopic spores which we breathe in or ingest. Most people do not realize that there are many different types of molds, however for simplicity sake I will only discuss them by color.
The most common types of mold are black, white and grey. Black mold usually occurs in your bathroom or kitchen where there is water and dampness. White and grey mold usually grow on concrete floors or cinder block walls. It looks like a white or grey powder. If you spend time in your basement or have forced air heating with a furnace there, spores will move through your whole home via the heating system.
White or black mold will also grow on household or office walls that are cold and have a cloth cover of some kind such as drapes and clothing in closets.
The color of mold you have will determine what kind of symptoms you will experience from breathing or ingesting.
White and Grey Mold
Usually causes the immune system to go into hyper drive. Your heart will beat faster; you have a "wired but tired" feeling. Sleep can be difficult. You seem to have boundless energy. If you see your doctor, he will diagnose you with an auto-immune disorder and prescribe immune suppressant drugs, beta-blockers and blood thinners to slow your heart rate and prevent heart attack. Once you are on these, it is difficult to get off. What your doctor does not know is that it is the mold which is causing these symptoms. Once you kill the mold in your body, the symptoms go away. Then, if you’ve been taking medications you have to wean yourself off of them with your physician’s assistance.
Black, Blue, Purple, Red, Orange, Green and Yellow Mold
Mold in these colors usually suppress the immune system. You experience all the symptoms of flu except the runny nose and fever. Symptoms are weakness, lethargy, extreme fatigue, want to sleep all the time, emotional distress and sometimes coughing from too much mucus in your lungs. If the mold is ingested, your digestion system may be impacted by intestinal bloating, runny stool, pain, fatigue and again flu like symptoms. Your doctor will most likely prescribe antibiotics, which will help but once finished the symptoms will return. Blue mold from Australia is a particularly nasty one, which requires months of natural supplement treatment. Black mold is very common and fairly easy to get rid of. There is a lot of black mold in Florida and other southern states.
The key is to find the source of the mold and kill it off.
